Recess Grove is a creative space located at 327 Grand Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211. We offer art classes, private events, a café and bar, and open studio time. 3. Class & Event Bookings

All class and event bookings are made through our booking partners (Bookeo or Square). By completing a booking, you also agree to the terms and conditions of those platforms. Your enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment.

Class sizes are limited. A booking does not guarantee a spot until payment is received in full.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation windows and refund eligibility vary by class type. Our full cancellation policy — including specific windows for studio classes, woodworking courses, and Beginner Woodshop — is published at: recessgrove.com/makeups

By completing a booking, you agree to the cancellation and refund policy described at that page, as updated from time to time. To request a cancellation or reschedule, email reschedule@recessgrove.com as early as possible.

5. Make-Up Class Policy

Make-up class options — including complimentary make-ups for Woodworking Foundations and scheduling options for other courses — are described in full at: recessgrove.com/makeups

By enrolling in a class, you agree to the make-up policy described at that page, as updated from time to time. To schedule a make-up class, email reschedule@recessgrove.com.

6. Assumption of Risk & Liability

Inherent risks

Our classes — particularly woodworking — involve the use of tools, machinery, and materials that carry inherent risks of injury. By participating in any class or activity at Recess Grove, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

Liability waiver

All participants are required to sign a liability waiver before engaging in hands-on activities at Recess Grove. Signing the waiver is a condition of participation. Recess Grove, its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from participation in classes or events, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct on our part.

Minors

Participants under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a liability waiver on their behalf. A parent or guardian must be reachable during the session. Recess Grove reserves the right to refuse participation to any minor whose enrollment we determine is not appropriate given the activity.

7. Code of Conduct

Recess Grove is a welcoming, creative space for everyone. By visiting or participating in any activity here, you agree to:

• Treat all staff, instructors, and fellow participants with respect

• Follow all safety instructions given by instructors and staff

• Not use tools, equipment, or materials outside of their intended purpose or without proper instruction

• Not engage in discriminatory, harassing, or threatening behavior of any kind

• Not bring alcohol onto the premises beyond what is served by Recess Grove staff

• Not engage in any activity that puts yourself or others at risk

Recess Grove reserves the right to remove any person from the premises who violates this code, without refund.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on www.recessgrove.com — including text, photos, graphics, logos, and course materials — is the property of Recess Grove or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without our written permission.

9. Photography & Media

Recess Grove occasionally photographs or videos classes and events for use in marketing materials. By participating, you grant Recess Grove permission to use images or footage in which you may appear for marketing and promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed, please let us know before your class or event.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our website and its content are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any information on it is complete and current. Class schedules, pricing, and availability are subject to change.

11. Limitation of Liability
